The final week of the 2017 NFL regular season is a 16-game Sunday with numerous playoff berths and seeds in the balance.
In the AFC, the Patriots will lock up home-field advantage through the playoffs if they beat the Jets. If the Pats lose, the Steelers can claim it with a win over the Browns. The Titans and Ravens can clinch playoff berths if they beat the Jaguars and the Bengals, respectively. The Chargers will make the postseason after starting 0-4 if they beat the Raiders and get help Cheap NHL Jerseys from the Bills, Titans or Ravens.
In the NFC, the Vikings can clinch a first-round bye in the playoffs with a win or a Panthers loss to the Falcons. The Panthers can gain the bye if they win and the Vikings, Saints and Rams all lose. The Saints can clinch the NFC South with a win or a Panthers loss. The Falcons can lock up a playoff berth with a win or a Seahawks loss. The Seahawks need to win and have the Falcons lose to earn a playoff berth.
There are also numerous scenarios in both conferences where ties are involved.
The NFL decided to forgo a New Year’s Eve matchup on Sunday night; instead, every game is scheduled for 1 p.m. or 4:25 p.m. ET. All the games that have playoff berths at stake will be played at 4:25.
Ward is performing superbly right now while perceived No. 1 Scott Darling isn’t playing much at all. Ride the long-term Carolina veteran as he builds on a six-game win streak. Ward also hasn’t allowed more than two goals in four consecutive contests.
Tristan Jarry, Pittsburgh Penguins (13.3 percent)
The Penguins are choosing to lean on Jarry for the second time in three games against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday. As No. 1 Matt Murray struggles, Pittsburgh’s backup has allowed only four goals through his most recent two and a half contests (one in relief of Murray). He could merit spot play for however long this trend lasts.
